GRANTS
The mission of the Holiday House Tour is to give back to the community by supporting local 501(c) (3) charities and service organizations that are based in New Canaan and/or serve the town’s residents.
During a tour year, local 501(c)(3) organizations are invited to fill out a grant application and identify specific projects, programs, or initiatives that they wish to fund within a 12-month period after distribution.
In 2023 we began a partnership with the New Canaan Community Foundation (NCCF) for our grant process. The Newcomers Club of New Canaan and New Canaan Community Foundation are grateful to work in partnership to grant the funds raised through the biannual Holiday House Tour. This collaboration enables the Newcomers Club to tap into NCCF’s broad applicant pool, experienced staff, and established, volunteer-led grantmaking process. While the Newcomers Club retains the flexibility to fund any nonprofit of their choosing, they often opt to top off awards that both groups are committed to supporting – demonstrating that we can accomplish more together than we can alone.
We will begin accepting grant requests associated with the 2025 event in September 2025.

A Better Chance (ABC) New Canaan
A Better Chance New Canaan’s mission is to provide transformative academic opportunities to talented young men of color, support them in becoming well-rounded and confident leaders, and prepare them for success in college and life.
